I appreciate everyone’s patience with my inactivity for the last few months. I’ve been working on a book proposal that has taken up most of my time. Even though there is currently no end in sight for this project, I am approaching what looks to be a good stopping point, where I can then put more focus back on Unpop Culture.
In the meantime: I don’t kick the anthill of politics very often, but I thought I might tickle it with my pinkie toe. Politics is, after all, a component of culture—albeit, a less pleasant one (especially during an election year). Still, I wanted to address two worldly assumptions many Christians—myself included—are tempted by. If we can avoid giving in to these temptations, we can more effectively glorify God and love our neighbor as we participate in another election cycle.
My newest piece for Crosswalk, “2 Mistakes Christian Voters Can Make,” explores these two temptations so as to help us better avoid them. I hope you find this article encouraging—regardless of your political persuasion.
